Revered Italian footwear company Diemme has spent the last quarter-century turning out the most rugged mountaineering boots on the market. So we’ll forgive you for not being familiar with the brand’s line of sharply executed sneakers.
That’s all likely to change with the brand’s latest drop, which pulls on a rich history of producing for the likes of Margiela, Gucci and Bottega Veneta, to deliver a full modern footwear collection.
Alongside high-performance outdoor styles, Diemme’s autumn/winter 2016 collection includes low and mid-top sneakers, all handmade in Italy, a process which sees approximately six hours of work behind each pair.
We’re particularly taken with Garda slip-on, a skater silhouette with low cut wool uppers and the famed Serena sole, produced by a family run rubber producer since since 1952, that is said to be impossible to wear down.
The Diemme autumn/winter 2016 collection is available at End, priced from £185.
