It’s called Dødsing. No we don’t have a clue how to pronounce the word or why it’s so popular in Norway – but we do know the rules. Essentially, the divers have to jump from a 10-metre platform and hold the straightest pose for as long as possible – before making contacts with the water.
And if you’re wondering why our Olympic diving lads Tom Daley and Dan Goodfellow don’t take part – sadly the competitors aren’t paid for their crazy antics and therefore won’t be able to make a living from it. But at at least they make a splash!
